Our Story

We are the Danner family: Al, Ashley, Logan, Mackenzie, Easton and Lincoln. We have been truly blessed by God and are happy to share our story with each of you. Our happily ever after began during the Christmas season of 2014. Ashley was teaching kindergarten at Grace Baptist Preschool in Evans GA. One of her favorite students, who attended church at Grace, invited Ashley to church one Sunday for the child’s Christmas program. Al had been worshipping at Grace for a little over a year at this point. He is a bassist on the church’s praise band. God’s plan was in motion, the stage was set and the ‘rest is history’ as they say.

Ashley and Al soon realized their love for each other and shared similar interests. After getting married, they realized that combining two houses was a big task and furniture had to go! There the love for refinishing and repurposing furniture came to be. Soon after, Dust & Grace was born. D&G has grown from a garage full of dust, extending ‘grace’ to unwanted furniture, to a home décor business with a purpose. Ashley’s love for the farmhouse style is clearly seen in our products. Our specialty would have to be our lovely custom farmhouse tables. Why the farmhouse style? Our goal is that our products remind you of those simpler times, with less cluttered lives. Where family time was valued and possible. Where families made it a point to sit down together for dinner, share a meal, talk about their day and give thanks to God for his abundant love and grace.

Thank you for stopping by and we hope you ENJOY!

I am a native and lifelong resident of lifelong resident of Lincolnton. I have been a part time employee with Dust & Grace since they opened in February 2023. I am married to Tommy Rankin, the mother of two children and "Gram" to three grandchildren. I retired from the Lincoln County Department of Family and Children Services after 25 years in October of 2012. Dust & Grace has given me the opportunity to work in a beautiful shop with great employers and a great staff. I love visiting with old friends and making new ones as they come into the shop. Thanks Al and Ashley for allowing me to be a part of your beautiful business.

I was born and raised in Lincoln County -the youngest of 14 kids! Most of my adult life was spent in sales. For the past 25 years I had the privilege to sell residential lighting at Southern Lighting Gallery in Augusta. I quickly realized that I thoroughly enjoyed helping customers make their homes more attractive. After retiring from SLG, I was delighted to join the team at Dust & Grace in my precious hometown of Lincolnton. What a joy it's been to get aquatinted with our customers and to assist in their gift ideas and decorating needs.
